When Axel Banay put up LMI I.T. Solutions & Telecommunications four years ago, he had only three more people with him
He was doing all the dirty work, including setting up, and connecting cables on a one-client-at-a-time basis.
Axel is an Electronics and Communications engineer who found himself stuck in a demanding job working for a telecom company.
“He used to sacrifice a lot, including Christmases, New Year’s Eves, even graduation because he had to do his job troubleshooting technical problems for the company,” Lara Marie Ibrado, Axel’s wife, tells DNX.
Axel devoted his time 24/7 to the telecomm company for years, until he decided he has enough, that he did not want to get stuck in a job where he had to wait from paycheck to paycheck.
And so, in 2016, he packed his proverbial bags and, using his life savings, put up his own company.
And so LMI I.T. Solutions & Telecommunications was born.
“LMI stands for Lead, Manage and Innovate,” Lara says, then adds laughing, “But it can also stand for LARA MARIE IBRADO.”
LMI I.T. Solutions & Telecommunications Services offers “comprehensive capabilities and deep industry knowledge necessary to help solve the most complex issues” its client’s organization.
Services offered include FIBER and copper cabling, wireless networking, software development, data center and design, PIBX, paging and voice alarms, solar PV system and desing, building management solutions (CCTV), civil-mechanical, and electrical services.
Lara says that since 2016, their clientele has steadily grown.
“In every project we undertake, our most important objective is to relate with clients and understand their core necessities and goals,” Lara says.
And from the initial three technicians, their stable of employees have grown to 20, give or take.
They are now contracting for big telcos, “offering services that is parallel to what the client needs”.
Lara sums up their LMI’s core value: integrity.
“We value our workmanship with them, and we provide them with quality work so they wouldn’t regret any amount spent with us. We are also transparent, we always suggest to clients what is needed or unnecessary sa ila na mga projects to save time and money,” she says, adding, “We continue to upgrade, we enroll our technical team to any available trainings so we can serve our clients better.”
