BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – The details are out for the four new cases in Bacolod, with one of the four new cases being pregnant, records from Bacolod City Health Office show.
The four new cases – two repatriates, and two Locally Stranded Individuals, not three LSI and one repatriate as reported by the Department of Health Western Visayas – were announced yesterday, 26 June, 2020.
This brings the running tally of confirmed cases to 35. Of the number, 19 have recovered, 13 are currently active, and three have died.
Of the active cases, seven are OFW repatriates, while six are Locally Stranded Individuals. All are currently under facility quarantine.
The following are the details of the four cases:
Patient 32 is a 27-year-old woman, who is pregnant. She is an OFW repatriate from the United Arab Emirates. She arrived in Manila last 8 June, when she also took her RT-PCR test (she tested negative). She stayed in a quarantine facility there until she took the plane to Bacolod 12 June.
She had her repeat RT-PCR test taken last 16 June. Ten days later, her results came back positive.
She is now currently in isolation.
Patient 33 is a 51-year-old male OFW repatriate from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He arrived in Manila 23 May, and had his first RT-PCR test done last 31 May, 2020 where he tested negative. He flew to Bacolod by 12 June, 2020.
He had his repeat RT-PCR test taken last 16 June. Ten days later, his results came back positive.
Patient 34 is a 32-year-old female LSI from Manila. She arrived in Bacolod via boat last 18 June, when she also had her RT-PCR test done, testing positive. She had no initial tests done before coming to Bacolod.
Patient 35 is a 40-year-old female LSI from Manila. She arrived in Bacolod via boat last 18 June, when she also had her RT-PCR test done, testing positive. She had no initial tests done before coming to Bacolod.
Patients 33, 34, and 35 are all under facility quarantine, the CHO reportssaid.
All manifested no signs and symptoms (asymptomatic).
