Negros Power expressed its full support for President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s initiative to reduce electricity costs, describing it as a significant step toward providing meaningful relief to Filipino consumers and making power more affordable.

Following the President’s announcement during his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA), Negros Power said it will await the official implementing guidelines from the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), particularly on the implementation of the directive to remove or zero out system loss charges.

Tambanillo explained that while the President has already set the policy direction, distribution utilities will continue to operate under the existing regulatory framework until the DOE and the ERC issue the official implementing guidelines.

Negros Power reaffirmed its full commitment to cooperate with the National Government, the DOE, and the ERC, and will promptly implement all official directives once issued, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws while continuing to deliver affordable, reliable, and consumer-centered electric service.
