BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – The swabs of the 25 PUIs from Bacolod and Negros Occidental are now at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) in Muntinlupa for testing.
Bacolod Cong. Greg Gasataya, in his Facebook page, announced that “hopefully”, by early next week, the swabs will no longer be brought to Manila. They might instead be brought to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Iloilo for testing.
More PPEs are also arriving from the Department of Health, the solon said.
Earlier this afternoon, the congressman said that 45 swabs of the PUIs both (25 from Bacolod and Negros Occidental, 20 from Iloilo) will be picked up by 4 p.m. for testing.
The number of cases of PUIs according to the City Legal Office has currently admitted as of March 20 is 11, with 1123 PUMs.
Patient 1 has already been identified last 20 March as male, 56 years old, with a travel history to London.
