BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson has called on the public to remain cautious and vigilant in spite of the decreasing number of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases.

Lacson told DNX everyone should make a little sacrifice of avoiding mass gatherings and celebrations during the Yuletide season so as not to cause a spike in the Covid-19 cases.

The governor added it would be better to limit the Christmas celebration with family alone.

“Don’t expect your celebration to be as it was before. Konting sakripisyo lang. Let us limit it per family. Don’t even invite your brothers to join in your house just limit it to your own family because I think that way we could prevent a spike,” said Lacson.

He assured the public that the provincial government is doing their best to lessen the cases of Covid-19.

Lacson added he was happy with the performance of the provincial molecular laboratory, noting that in the region, it has been second in the most number of testings done.
