BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Sitting Mayor Alfredo Abelardo “Albee” Benitez stated his fresh term as chief executive of this highly-urbanized provincial capital with a slogan of “dream big,” among others.

Now, a year later, Albee wants to dream bigger, disclosing plans of having “legacy projects” with Lone District Representative Greg Gasataya, an ally in the last polls, even as his big ticket projects to be funded by a P4.4 loan from a government back are still in the pipeline.

The two specialized medical facilities were built in Metro Manila during the administration of then Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Sr under whose term, Albee’s father, Conrado or Jolly, served as human settlements minister.

Mayor Benitez said he and Gasataya would seek the help of First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.

Benitez also said they will prioritize the construction of the legislative building, the construction of the City Health complex, the renovation of the old City Hall, and land banking.
