Two minors survive in separate shooting incidents

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Two separate shooting incidents happened yesterday, both involving minors.

Two men, in one incident, were found dead inside a vehicle in the subvillage of Lampirong, village 2, apparent victims of shooting.

The bodies were found inside a Mitsubishi Mirage with plate number RNN-562.  A two-year-old girl, who was found inside the vehicle,  survived the incident.  Police identified the child as the daughter of Fernando Mahipos, 39, who was shot to death together with the car driver Dexter Bryan Ursos, Bacolod City Police Sherlock Gabana said.

Meanwhile, in a separate shooting incident in the village of Inolingan in Moises Padilla, three persons were wounded including an 11-year-old.

They were reportedly shot by Steve Camelo, 19. 

Camelo, reports said, entered the victims’ hut and shot them.  The victims are now being treated in a hospital in Bacolod while the suspect managed to escape.
