FAKE NEWS ALERT: Doctors’ Hospital case not true

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – The City Health Office has debunked the veracity of the text message circulating about a patient confined at The Doctors Hospital.

The message, also sent to DNX by concerned readers for verification, reads:
“Gudevening co-teachers.. please read.. chat ni sya sbng sg upod nmon sa simbahan nga ga work sa Doctors Hospital.. possible na my ari nadi infected sa Bacolod

“Gud Eve girls please pray for us! May patient nga Wala gd nanugid nga halin sa Manila 6 days ago..gb I gn emergency sya kg gntubuhan KY perte Ang hapo kg Ang folks amo lng pgpanugid nga halin sya manila..Isa gd ka station staff Ang gn quarantine, plus sa respiratory staff, doctors na 2 kg Ang laboratory staff..only mask lng GD usar nila kg super expose gd cla.. Our station 7 & 8 gn close pra sa Amon nga mga empleyado kn mg minasakit na.. Subong 10staff Ang naka quarantine, 3doctors..expect na kmi pull outs if Wala na staff.. Please tell sa mga kilala, pumuluyo nyo da nga stay at home lng anay KY Ang hospital staff Ang kaluluoy kg Ang pasyente mn mismo ky Wala na ma attend sng mga needs nla.. Keep on praying guys! City Health Officer spokesperson Dr. Grace Tan told DNX there is no such patient confined at the hospital.

Other fake news circulating included a family in Eroreco supposedly picked up at 3 a.m. and declared as PUI, as well as the breakdown of cases per barangay.
