BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Bacolod Cong. Greg Gasataya joins the “urgent plea” of party members allied with the Nationalist People’s Coalition for a “more inclusive mass testing”.
“This should be our mentality especially [after we have another confirmed case] from La Castellana,” the congressman said. (READ: Province’s Patient 2 might affect modified ECQ)
Gasataya said with Bacolod’s population of over 600,000, more tests should be conducted aside from those identified through contact tracing.
“We have only tested about 0.04% of our population,” said.
Earlier, NPC urged the InterAgency Task Force and the Department of Health to immediately conduct “an effective, efficient, responsive, and more inclusive mass testing for Covid-19”.
The NPC members who filed the resolution included party members Senate President Vicente Sotto, two other senators, 44 members of the House of Representatives, and eight governors.
