Participatory democracy, transparency, accountability, human rights, and rule of law.

For GoodGovPh, the youth-led movement seeking good governance in the Philippines, these are the core values that need to be urgently addressed at the moment.

“We have seen gaps in this administration, and the previous ones particularly with these key values issues,” Project Head Kit Mulliken told DNX.  The five core issues, Mulliken said, was also done after arduous research by the core group behind GoodGov, and that was how the movement was conceptualized.

Mulliken said their group aims for youth empowerment, which she said they are doing through a series of civic engagements, including webinars, and awareness campaigns.

One of the tangible events was a fund-raising with a  target amount of P300,000 through its campaign #WeMove for Luzon, seeking aid to give to areas stricken by Typhoons Ulysses, Rolly, and Quinta.

GoodGovPh had partnered with National Society of Parliamentarians has partnered other trusted local organizations and national networks “to ensure the speedy and transparent delivery of relief goods to these beneficiaries”.
