BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Bacolod has recorded another confirmed case of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases in the city to six.
Data from the Department of Health Western Visayas show that Bacolod’s Confirmed Case #6, identified as WV 23, was a 62-year-old female who died 31 March, 2020 and had “close contact” with Patient 3, a 40-year-old male who is currently critical.
The total Bacolod City PUIs admitted from 2 February, 2020 is 34, with 27 already discharged and four currently admitted in isolation.
The four are: 40-year-old, male, confirmed case, critical; 26-year-old, female, alleged contact with PUM, stable; 60-year-old male, with lung cancer with metastasis, and travel history to Manila, and a 22-year-old female, health care worker.
The three who died were a 60-year-old (negative) male; a 42-year-old male, driver, from Cebu, lives in barracks, and the 62-year-old female, the sixth confirmed case.
PUMs (currently monitored) are 646. The breakdown is as follows: PUMs to PUIs (with mild symptoms), 6; completed quarantine, 1538. Thirty-five are lost to follow up.
“Technically, they are not missing because they have been tracked by their Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams,” she said.
Of the 35, the following are their status: went home out of town; transfered to another barangay; went back to Korea, USA, & Japan; checked-out from the hotels monitored per barangay; and repatriated foreigners.
