Artists join community pantry bandwagon, to open own version at Artfull Cafe

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Artists here are joining community efforts to help each other by opening a pantry of their own.

Renowned theater artist Rudy Reveche said local artists will open their Artists’ + Community Pantry this Monday, April 26 at the Artfull Art Gallery along Lacson Street near 18th Aguinaldo.

The gallery cum coffeeshop is owned by visual artists Tata Sevilleno and Beto Tiano, who is also frontman of the jazz band Nancy Brew.

Reveche called for help and asked the following to do their share.

How to help

FOR ARTISTS

You can share anything from pre-loved art materials or art stuff that you have not used. Some of our students and fellow artists also need a little help with their stash. Share yours!

Pwede guid kahatag sang artworks or inyo gusto nga ihalad nga talento para sa kalingawan sang mga abyan ta pantry. Indi lang man sa materyal nga bagay kita makabulig, pwede man ini sa paagi nga makapa-yuhum sa aton isigkatawo. City of Smiles man ayhan kita.

You can share to our community pantry the following:

  1. Food and Drinks
  2. Books and Reading Materials
  3. Pre-loved Clothes
  4. Slippers
  5. Basic Safety Essentials like alcohol, face masks, face shields
  6. Anything that you can share will be most welcome.

We are open Mondays to Saturdays and you can start giving your help on Saturday, April 24th from 8AM – 5PM and closed on Sundays.
