BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Police 80 kilometers north of here busted a town mayor’s son in an anti-drug operation in San Carlos City around 8 last night, 17 August 2022.
Nestor Era Jr, 40, a son of Calatrava Mayor Marilyn Era, was among three persons nabbed in an anti-narcotics operation in Barangay (Village) 6 where police also seized suspected meth worth an estimated P102,000, San Carlos police spokesperson, Lieutenant Roby Aurita, told DNX.
Aurita said the second suspect, Chito Atienza, 46, an alleged drug dealer was the subject of the police operation,and whose house was raided by police.
City Police Spokesperson, Lieutenant Roby Aurita, identified one of the suspects as Nestor Era, Jr., 40, the son of Calatrava Mayor Marilyn Era.
A third person, Aurita said, is Rosalia Nemenzo, 60 M, Atienza’s laundrywoman.
She also said that Atienza had an illegal drug-related case in 2019 and the police were still identifying the basis for his release.
