Twelve medical frontliners from four hospitals – Cadiz, Silay, Valladolid, and Kabankalan – will be joining the ceremonial vaccination today, 2 p.m. at the Teresita Jalandoni Provincial Hospital.
This was revealed by Negros Occidental Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said in a press conference earlier.
The 12, he said, are volunteers for ceremonial vaccination. The vaccines have already been received by the Provincial Health Office and are ready for administration.
The ceremonial program will be attended by Secretary Vince Dizon, deputy chief implementer of the National Action Plan Against COVID -19, Negros Occidental Gov. Jose Eugenio Lacson, Vice-Governor Jeffrey Ferrer, and provincial consultant Alfredo Abelardo Benitez.
Meanwhile, on 13 March 2021, Saturday, the province will conduct the mass vaccination for its health care workers. Eight hundred vaccines will be administered as first dose, while the other 800 will be administered as second dose.
