BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – The manager of government-run premier recreation spot Mambukal Resort and Wildlife Sanctuary said they are proposing a hike in entrance fees as Capitol plans a reopening this month.

Tourism Officer and Acting Resort Manager Cheryl Decena said they are pushing for a P70 hike in gate fees, from P50 to P120 for adults, and from P20 to P60 for children.

The fee already includes the use of dipping pools and swimming pools.

Decena said the resort has not increased of rates on accommodation and recreational facilities since 2003 and the last increase in entrance fee was way back 2011.

This proposal however, needs to be approved on the third and final reading by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

She pointed out the proposed adjustments aims to make services more convenient for customers as they can save more money.
