BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – The police here is probing a recruitment on social media for a plan to rob banks amid the community quarantine against the COVID19.
Local PNP spokesman, Lt. Col. Ariel Pico, told DNX he has already forwarded to the investigation and intelligence divisions the post made by a certain individual (whose name we are withholding pending further investigation) on two private vending groups on Facebook.
The account owner, however, posted that his account was hacked.
The post, based on screenshots sent be netizens to DNX and the post reads in full:
Looking for interested individual (sic) to join the vigilant (sic) group. Para lang sa mga wala kulba (Only for those who don’t have fear). We are organizing a group to rob certain banks, malls here in bacolod. All gears will be provided, high powered guns will be provided as well. Pm to those interested. We are doing this to waken up the f***ing useless government here in bacolod city.
The account that posted it had a post the next day.
It read:
ANG AMU NI NAKON NGA ACCOUNT NA HACKED!!!
gapangayu gid ko pasensya sa tanan… liyug lng ko pa report ky indi ako ga usar… sino kaman nga mango nga nag tripping sa akon account ko tani ma konsensya ka sa gina himo! Amo nani subong ang bag o ko nga acct. palihog na lg share para mkapabalo sa tanan. Salamat gid.
This account of mine was hacked!
I am asking everyone for forgiveness. Please report because I am not the one using it. To the fool who did it and had a trip using my account I hope your conscience will bother you. This is now my new account. Please share so everyone will know. Thank you very much.
