Bacolod has Patient 28

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Bacolod city has Patient 28, a 23-year old male seafarer, the Bacolod City Health Office said.

He is now quarantined in a facility in Bacolod.

CHO records reveal that as of press time, 17 of the confirmed cases had fully recovered, with three deaths. There was no record for the number of those under facility quarantine.

According to the timeline provided by the CHO, Patient 28 was infected with CoVid in Brazil and was admitted in the country for 19 days.

He was discharged after his condition improved, and yielded a negative result in his test. He left Brazil last 11 April, 2020.

He flew via chartered flight to Manila on the same day.

He was on quarantine in a Manila hotel until 10 June, 2020.

A repeat RT-PCR test done a week before he left for Bacolod yielded a negative result.

Another test was conducted soon after he came home to Bacolod, this time with a positive result.

His condition has improved since then and there was no recurrence of symptoms, the CHO report said.
