BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – A 19-year-old resident of Estefania village here joins a select team of table tennis players from across the country that will compete in the ASEAN University Games in Thailand.
Ken Andrei Memoria, son of Information Technology expert Percy and his wife, Leny, leaves soon with the table tennis team that will see action in Ubon Ratchatani University where the games will be held.
The Memorias are residents of Celine Homes in Estefania, one of the urban barangays here.
The AUG is a sports event that gathers athletes from member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
Percy told DNX his son had been playing table tennis since he was 10.
The AUG is scheduled to start on 27 July and will last until the 31st of this month.
