BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Ten thousand more Sinovac vaccine doses for Bacolod City are arriving tomorrow 5 June 2021, Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia said in statement furnished to Bacolod media today.

The mayor said the city is “very thankful” to Department of Health Region 6 Regional Director Emilia Monicimpo for her “quick response to our appeal during an emergency meeting with top DOH regional officials, Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran and our Emergency Operations Center (EOC) members yesterday”.

The mayor also added that they “appealed and argued that due to the rising cases in Bacolod, the need to accelerate vaccination must also catch up”.
