BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – The Central Negros Electric Power has scheduled 10-hour power interruptions in certain areas in Bacolod today, 17 July and tomorrow 18 July, from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Areas affected today are those under Mountain View substation.
These are Bata Subd. including Gold Crest Subd., and Octagon Village (Talisay), whole of Mt. View Subd. Including Porferia Subd., Sta. Clara Phase I, Villa Valderrama Subd., Sto. Rosario, Lacson St. (from Lopue’s Mandalagan to Bangga Pepsi), Mandalagan Highway, Circumferential Road, Federal Johnson Iron Works to Marapara Heights Subd., Bacolod Golf & Country Club, Montebello Subd., The Ruins, Theresa Dev’t. Corp. Subd., and Robinson’s Commercial Complex.

The purpose is to degassify and to conduct preventive Maintenance Servicing of 10MVA Power Transformer, repair hot spot and installation of two auto reclosers for reliability purposes at Mt. View Substation, Buri Road, Brgy. Mandalagan, Bacolod City;
replace rotten poles covering MF4 & MF5 feeders;
clear line coverings of affected feeders.
Electric consumers are further advised that, in the event of any power interruption, electrical switch/es should be turned off for safety reasons.
When power supply resumes, consumers are to provide allowance of about 10 to 15 minutes before switching on all electrical appliances and facilities to avoid power surge.
