Second-termer Cong. Greg G. Gasataya said he finds the call for an increase “reasonable” but proposed an incremental increase with those at the lowest salary rung to receive the highest.

Gasataya told DNX he had already supported two bills in the Lower House that call for the salary increase for public school teachers.

He added that with the 2020 General Appropriations Act already passed, a law is needed to implement the fifth tranche of increase for teachers under the Salary Standardization Law.
