BACOLOD CITY – Tangub village chief Noli Villarosa is willing to face any complaint against him from a gamefowl breeder and his mother.

“I don’t consider this personal, I am just doing my job,” Villarosa told DNX as he explained that the row between him and the Belocuras is related to the clearing of illegal structures as ordered by President Duterte that he is strictly following.
Villarosa said Patrick Belocura is not even a resident of Tangub but he had been instigating residents to defy the barangay’s campaign to consolidate all wet goods vending at the wet market of the village.
He added Patrick had been using the name of Mayor Evelio Leonardia and the local office of the interior and local government to justify the “legality” of the structure his mother is putting up.
As to the claims that he threatened the Belocuras, Villarosa said it was actually they who threatened him.
Patrick, he said, is a supporter of Leonardia who had been using the name of the mayor in encouraging people to build illegal structures.
“I don’t believe that Mayor (Leonardia) will tolerate the putting up of illegal structures,” Villarosa said.
He also said he already has a certification from City Hall that the Belocuras don’t have any legal document to put up a structure.
“Vending is fine with me while we are still fine tuning our ordinance about consolidating a wet market,” he said.
“The problem is the building of illegal structures.”
