Police net 15 wanted persons, two for rape, in one day

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Police nab 15 wanted persons facing various charges, two for rape, in 15 areas in the province on Wednesday, 22 June 2022.

Police nabbed Christy Bulanon, 46, who was ordered by Judge Reginald Fuentebella for rape.

He is now detained at the city’s police station.

In the nearby city of Cadiz, police also arrested for a similar crime Alvin Collamar, who was collared in St. Andrew Park, Daga village.

In the same city, police nabbed alleged arsonist Bomber Truz, 36 in Salvador. Bonifacio village.

Judge Renato Munez who ordered the arrest of Truz recommended a bail of P40,000 for the suspect’s provisional liberty.

Over in the south, two residents of Bago City were nabbed for various cases

Analyn Aunzo, 45, was arrested in Poblacion village, for a bouncing check case while 63-year-old Apolinario Pontenegra, and Imelda Mercado, 56, all of Busay village were ordered arrested for illegal gambling with bail recommended at P30,000.

Two other residents, Frankie Soberano, and Letecia Estorco, both 54, and living in Taloc village, were also arrested for the same charge.

Further south, in Himamaylan City, three elderly residents were nabbed for illegal cockfighting.

Police nabbed Macario Crispe, 62, Leonor Nuñela, 70, and Merlita Huelar, 69, all residents of Purok 12, Aguisan for illegal gambling during a cockfight.

Meanwhile, police also arrested Rene Boy Ortaliza, 29, of Juan Luna Street, Robles village in La Castellana town who was facing a charge for theft with no bail recommemded.

In nearby La Carlota City, police also arrested for a similar charge Edgar Tamagos, 40, a of Gurrea St., Village 1 but he had a recommended bail of P10,000.

In Pontevedra town, police arrested Panfilo Jordan, 48, for violating two town ordinances and for resisting and defying a person in authority.

In the far south, police in Sipalay City arrested Marlon Cañete, 34, in Cancayao Nabulao village, Sipalay City for the charge of reckless imprudence resulting to homicide.

Canete was the driver of a truck that figured in a road accident that led to the death of a public school teacher and the wounding of another.
