BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental, Philippines – Police in Isabela town said a cock derby gaffer was the real target of killers who shot and killed an elderly man Wednesday.
Town police chief Joseph Partidas told DNX their probe into the killing of Narciso David, 74, showed so far that at least two men went looking for the dead man’s son-in-law, whose name was not released by authorities.
Partidas, a police captain, said when they could not find the gaffer in hacienda Alicia in Barangay (village) 5, they shot David whose body was found in the evening of Wednesday with three gunshot wounds in the chest, possibly from a 45 caliber pistol.
Partidas added their probe into the killing seems to be leading to the possibility that it was related to the in-law’s job.
